2020 Littleton Seed Library ~ Adventures in Seed Starting
There’s nothing like the taste of homegrown vegetables and the varieties are endless when you start your plants from seed. Whether you’re new to gardening or a vegetable growing veteran, join us for an interactive session of seed starting tips and tricks. Attendees will have the opportunity to plant some seeds from the Seed Library and take them home. We have almost 4000 seed packets available for our local residents to check out. There is an extensive selection of vegetables, greens, herbs, fruits and flowers so everyone will find something that they are looking for.
On Wed Feb. 26th from 7:00 pm -8:30 pm, we are going to have an Official Seed Library Opening. This will be an informal seed swap, open house to check out seeds, and a forum for “asking a local gardener” questions about your gardening challenges.
Back by popular demand, Judith Taylor will be teaching a class on seed starting Saturday March 7th from 10:30-12:00 sponsored by the Littleton Library.
Instructor: Judith Taylor
Judith has been gardening in Massachusetts for over 20 years and has hands on experience with growing all sorts of perennials, fruits and vegetables as well as landscape design. She enjoys sharing her passion with new gardeners as well as exchanging tips and tricks with those more experienced. She is using her experience from teaching classes at many local universities to spread the word on seed starting and saving to inspire people to get hooked on gardening!
