Traveling Seed Library

A new addition to the Littleton Community Farm…a Traveling Seed Library!

The portable seed library made its first appearance at the Littleton Holiday Bazaar on December 1st, 2018.  Many Littletonians stopped by the LCF booth to learn how to grow lettuce and other greens indoors during our cold weather months.  They were able to take free seeds home to try their hand at indoor gardening!

The permanent seed library is located on the main floor of the Reuben Hoar Library in Littleton.  It is stocked with a wide assortment of vegetable, herb and flower seeds that anyone can “check out” and take home to grow.

Classes are offered to help both new and experienced gardeners learn how to start and save seeds. The next class will be held at the Reuben Hoar Library in Littleton on Wednesday March 6, 2019 at 7pm and is called  “Adventures in Seed Starting!”

Anyone interested in learning more about the permanent or traveling seed library may contact Judith Taylor at seeds@littletoncommunityfarm.org.
